The Role

At Gigs, we’re building the world’s connectivity platform — and like any ambitious company, we know our success comes down to our people. We’ve built a strong foundation, but now it’s time to level up: we’re hiring our first-ever Lead People Partner to help us scale thoughtfully, sustainably, and with a strong bias toward performance and clarity. This role is about embedding deeply into the business, partnering with leaders to grow and support high-performing teams, and building the systems that will enable every Gigster to do the best work of their careers. If you’re energized by ambiguity, like to get your hands dirty, and know how to build from scratch, you’ll feel right at home here.

What You Will Do

  • Partner Closely with Leadership & Managers: Act as a trusted thought partner to founders, execs, and team leads — supporting org design, performance, team health, and leadership development
  • Build the Foundations for Scale: design and roll out the systems we need as we grow: performance management, career frameworks, management training, succession planning, and more
  • Create Clarity from Ambiguity: ensure visibility into people priorities and progress. Identify and surface people risks and opportunities before they become problems. Use data and intuition to inform decisions, not just follow requests
  • Drive Culture Through Systems: help Gigs remain fast, clear, and high-performing as we scale — not by holding onto culture as a vibe, but by translating it into scalable behaviors and systems. Build scalable people systems aimed at improving the team's performance, while remaining lean
  • Enable Managers to be Great: build lightweight but effective programs to help managers grow, navigate tough conversations, and develop their teams
  • Support a Global Team: help us navigate complex cross-border setups, especially as we grow in the US and EU, and ensure we're compliant without being bureaucratic

What We Are Looking For

  • 8+ years of experience in People roles, preferably as People Partner, HRBP, or equivalent supporting tech or product orgs at high-growth companies. 
  • Strong business acumen — you’ve partnered with senior leaders and know how to tie people initiatives to business outcomes
  • Hands-on and humble — you’re excited to both zoom out and think strategically, and roll up your sleeves to get things done
  • Experience supporting org design, performance cycles, career frameworks, and building programs that support talent development and retention
  • You’ve worked in high-performing, fast-paced environments, ideally companies known for talent density and operational excellence
  • Excellent coaching and influencing skills — you can work with managers at all levels and aren’t afraid to push back or offer a new perspective
  • Comfort with ambiguity and building from zero — you don’t need a playbook, but you know how to create one others can use
  • Experience working with global, distributed teams — you know how to navigate multi-country employment setups and work with external partners (e.g., legal, payroll, PEOs)
