PARIS & SAN FRANCISCO - July 7, 2026. Gigs, the operating system for mobile services and the global leader in embedded connectivity, today announced its expansion into France through a landmark partnership with Qonto, Europe's leading business finance platform. The launch makes Qonto the first French fintech to embed travel eSIMs directly into its product, enabling Qonto's 600,000 SME customers to discover, activate, and manage their travel connectivity around the globe without leaving the Qonto app.

Modern entrepreneurs and SMEs expect teams to operate without borders. Qonto already caters to this need on the financial side, with seamless travel insurance and fee-free global card payments. The key piece missing from the travel package is connectivity. French SMEs are among Europe's most internationally active: 42% of Qonto customers have at least one member travelling for business, with the United States, the United Kingdom and Morocco among the most visited destinations. Today, business travelers who need to stay connected on the road are faced with a tough choice: either pay astronomical and unpredictable roaming charges, or resort to clunky plastic SIMs or, worse still, risky public WiFi.

Powered by Gigs, Qonto users can now install travel eSIMs at highly competitive prices natively within the Qonto app in under a minute. Admins can assign travel eSIMs to team members that are travelling for business, just as they already issue cards for trip expenses. The service follows a "one eSIM for life" model: once installed, a single eSIM works across more than 180 countries on the world's strongest 5G and 4G LTE networks, with users able to top up data at any time directly from the app. Users simply pick their destination, install their eSIM, and are connected the second they hit the tarmac. To mark the launch, every Qonto user receives 1GB of free global data.

Romain Goueffon, Head of Partnerships at Qonto said “At Qonto, our goal is to remove friction from our customers' day-to-day operations, so they can focus on running their business. Business travel shouldn't mean juggling SIM cards, roaming fees or additional apps. By partnering with Gigs, we're making connectivity as seamless as managing payments or expenses in Qonto, giving our customers one less thing to think about before they travel."

“Qonto is what we built Gigs for: a platform that 600,000 businesses already trust, with the ambition to give them everything they need in one place. Embedding eSIMs doesn't just solve a travel problem, it sets a new standard for how French businesses and consumers access connectivity: directly from the apps they love and use daily. Gigs is here to partner with the France’s most ambitious platforms to raise the bar in mobile experience and distribution for millions", added Arthur Decanter, GTM Lead for France at Gigs

Following sustained growth across the US, Europe, and Latin America, the deal is a strategic milestone in Gigs' global expansion. The company pioneered embedded connectivity as a new category, and has established itself as the platform of choice for fintechs and consumer technology companies enriching their product suite with mobile plans, including global leaders like Cash App, Revolut, Klarna, Tide and Nubank (the largest Neobank in the world). With more than $100 million raised from Ribbit Capital, Google, Y Combinator, Speedinvest, and BoxGroup, Gigs is now building out its team in France and actively hiring in Paris, with further French partners being announced this year.
