The Role

Be a foundational team member, as the second full-time employee responsible for all things Security at Gigs. We have a solid SOC 2 Type II audited foundation. You’ll help us improve our corporate security posture as we scale our organisation and business in the coming years. You will find and model threats and risks to our corporate environment working closely with other teams. You drive architecture, prioritisation, and response. You build processes and systems to secure our complete corporate stack, ranging from Google Cloud over Google Workspace to GitHub, Linear, Jamf and Slack.

What we are looking for

You are experienced in corporate security. You have worked in modern SaaS-based stacks in a startup. You’ve seen it before, you know where to go fast and which pitfalls to avoid.
You can program in Go, Ruby, Bash or Terraform. You are able to build systems and automate tasks with a high level of engineering excellence
You love learning technologies as you go. You always want to find the right tool for the job, and don't only follow what you already know
You care about more than just security. You understand that a scaling business needs to make pragmatic decisions, making security an enabler for velocity.

Before You Apply...

The truth is, what we're building isn't easy. We expect a lot, and operate with urgency and ownership. This won’t be the right place for everyone, and that’s okay.

This role probably isn't a fit if:

You need a lot of structure, or layers of process to do your best work
You prefer to specialize narrowly and wait for direction rather than taking initiative
You’re uncomfortable making decisions with imperfect information or wearing multiple hats
You’re looking for a “big company” setup — we’re still building many things for the first time
